As a club we are monitoring the progress of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), and discussing how it may impact our club sessions. This is a rapidly evolving situation, and our approach may change at any time. We request all club members read the guidance on the NHS website in particular their advice on how to avoid catching or spreading COVID-19.
Considering that our sessions take place outside we do not have easy access to hand washing facilities. On this basis we would request that members wash their hands at home both before and after sessions, and consider bringing hand sanitiser gel if practical. Please be wary of close contact and keep spread out during warmup, drills and cooldown activities.
We would like to highlight that if you show any symptoms, such as a high temperature or continuous cough, then you should stay at home and NOT attend any club sessions. The current government advice is to isolate yourself for 7 days.
Recent guidance has included self-isolation for 14 days if returning from some of the worst impacted countries, including China, Italy, Iran and South Korea. While this advice has now been superseded due to further spread of the virus, we would request members avoid sessions for 14 days after travelling from a highly infected area, or after unprotected physical interaction with someone who has been diagnosed as infected.
