Runner Origin Story
I was drunk in a bar in Ipswich, it was 3am and a friend dared me to sign up to a sprint triathlon. If I say I’ll do something I do it, but I weighed nearly 18 stone then and most definitely didn’t run – so I had to start. That was ten years ago and I’ve done up to half Ironman triathlons (1.2 mile swim, 56m bike and a half marathon) and a 32 mile ultra. Be wary if you commit to doing a triathlon!!!!!

I Run Because…
I enjoy taking part in events, triathlons, running races and other challenges such as adventure races, plus I love getting out in the countryside. I like keeping fit, but most of all I like the social side.

When Not Running
Family activities, supporting Ipswich Town Football Club, sailing, cycling, swimming and learning how to work on my MGB

Greatest Running Achievement
Completing the Stour Valley Path 50 ultra

Cherished Running Anecdote
Being unable to find my clean shirt after the Colchester Half Marathon only to realise I still had it on under my race shirt (and over my compression top) and I’d run the whole race in three layers 🤷🏼‍♂️
