Runner Origin Story
I had dabbled with running a few times over the decades, but it had never stuck. After my first husband died I decided to do the Great North Run in his memory, raising money for the Marie Curie hospice that had cared for him.
I discovered parkrun at around the same time, and that became my motivation to keep it going.

I Run Because…
It helps keep me relatively sane

When Not Running
Photography and music: I sing with The Rabble Chorus – Suffolk’s largest choir

Greatest Running Achievement
Probably Valencia Marathon in 2019 where I got my current PB

Cherished Running Anecdote
My sister overtaking me near the end of Valencia Marathon, resulting in my fastest mile of the race

Future Goals
I’m hoping to complete the Threshold “Race to the…” series next year by doing Race to the King, in 1 day rather than the 2 that I’ve done for the others. So my first 100k!
